Welcome to Tirohia School - the shining gem of the Hauraki District. We are a proud community school vested in growing the minds and bodies of active, connected life-long learners.
Just a few minutes from Paeroa and servicing our local community, we offer a unique perspective in education. Each day is filled with adventures in learning and play under the facilitation of committed and highly skilled educators who blend modern teaching philosophies with community-building values.
Tirohia School provides full primary status from Year 0 - 8. Hut building, tree climbing, exploring our local outdoor landmarks, aiming for academic excellence and nurturing creative talents are the hallmarks of this wonderful country school.

This special place . . .
Tirohia Primary School is a rural school situated between Paeroa and Te Aroha. We are a state funded, co-educational full primary school catering for students from Years 1 to 8. Tirohia School students are a mixture of rural and town children.
Founded in 1922, the school is a neighbour of H.G. Leach & Co. Ltd, Tirohia Marae and our wonderful rural neighbours, many of whom have been vested in the school for generations.
Tirohia School is a family orientated school providing a physically and emotionally safe environment. We ensure that all students have equal access to learning opportunities inclusive of ability, gender, ethnicity, and personal circumstances.
Tirohia School has extensive grounds, with ample natural shade and a much loved and well used school swimming pool. Our students are encouraged to live our key competencies through adventurous play and highly engaging learning programmes.
